Building Miracles for Kids is a non-profit organization established to help the most important people in our community and future, the children. A Miracle Home gives our entire community the opportunity to participate in something that touches many lives. It is constructed with partnerships and donations from the local building industry and community sponsorships. Proceeds from the sale of the home are donated to local nonprofit organizations to help care for the needs of local children. Miracles happen and make futures bright!
The Children’s Home Society is South Dakota’s oldest, non-profit, human services organization; founded in 1893 to provide care and adoption services for South Dakota’s abandoned, abused, or unwanted children. In 1970, the Society evolved from the orphanage concept to that of residential care for children with emotional or behavioral problems. Today, the majority of children served are victims of severe abuse and neglect.
We are very pleased to announce that the proceeds from the next Building Miracles for Kids Miracle Home will be going to the Children’s Home Society of South Dakota! Construction of the home will likely begin in the spring of 2017.
In 2013 a Miracle Home was built with the proceeds benefitting the Sioux Empire Children’s Miracle Network. In March of 2014 a total of $194,000 was presented to the Children’s Miracle Network at the Sanford Children’s Castle!
